How We Work

The Make It A Good One® conversation

Coaching happens through conversation. Literally, it is a conversation with your coach, but it is also a conversation you have with yourself. While your coach is actively listening to you and inviting you to talk about what is really important, you are also clarifying those things for yourself. We begin by identifying the outcomes and results you seek through this process. We then explore together, asking you to examine the thinking behind your actions so they are consistent with your goals, and we share with you our honest feedback. It is a process in which we engage and partner for lasting change. In a real conversation, there is always transformation, as we depart from a familiar place and move to a new one.

In our meetings, we safely include “the elephant in the room” in order to uncover the unspoken, but sometimes-critical issues that might need attention.

How we do it

It all depends on where you are and what you want…

If you are in our area, our preference is always to meet with you in person. However, if you are overseas or outside of our area, we can work via Skype or over the phone.

Our conversations will last about 45 minutes and will take place 2 to 4 times in a month. You will also need to allocate time for personal reflection, taking some actions or just “YOU work,” as we like to call it.

Some clients decide that they need more and some decide they need less. Remember this is always about YOU! In between our conversations we will be available to support you, always doing our best to respond within 24 hours. The duration of the coaching relationship varies depending on the individual’s personal needs and preferences.
